✺ LOOKING AHEAD IN 2025 ✺

Dear Friends,

We begin each new year at Art Strategies by looking at our work flow for the months ahead, carving out time for travel to building sites, client homes, auctions, and art fairs around the country. 2025 marks what may be our most diverse group of projects to date.

We have begun developing several exciting art programs at esteemed higher education facilities; are building relationships with architecture offices and communities in several cities new to us; and are thrilled to share progress on projects we’ve been refining quietly for some time. Read on to see what we’ve been working on, and what’s to come.

Lastly, I include resources supporting our colleagues and friends in the Los Angeles art community. As a graduate of the art history program at the University of Southern California, LA is a city near and dear to my heart. It has become a cornerstone of the contemporary art world, and we will do our best to support the galleries, artists, and institutions we love as they begin to recover and rebuild.

✺ Public and Municipal Projects ✺

Signia by Hilton Indianapolis Hotel and Indiana Convention Center expansion
Indianapolis IN (2024-2026)

We are proud to be working with the Marion County Capital Improvement Board and their design teams Ratio and Rottet, to provide art consulting services for the new Signia by Hilton Indianapolis Hotel and Indiana Convention Center expansion. The project is planned to open in fall 2026.

Civic Center Plaza Master Plan
Corning NY (2024-2025)

In collaboration with New York based architecture office Fisher Associates, we’ve been working with the planning department in the City of Corning, New York and key stakeholders to create a master plan for the re-design of the city’s Civic Center Plaza. We are thinking about ways to integrate art into this hub of community activity.

University of Texas Austin, McCombs School of Business
Rowling Hall

The McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin is one of the leading business school programs in the country. We’ve been working with the school’s visionary leadership team to develop a world class art program to enhance Robert B. Rowling Hall, which opened in 2018. Designed by Ennead Architects in partnership with Jacobs Engineering Group, Rowling Hall is currently home to the school’s professional MBA programs.

Vanderbilt University
Nashville TN (2024-ongoing)

Art Strategies has been working with Vanderbilt University on an art plan and strategy for landmark sites on its campus. Included in this is the iconic Kirkland Hall, which recently reopened after a significant renovation by Centric Architecture, MAS Studio, and SOM, reflective of Vanderbilt’s purpose and commitment to excellence. Each project will integrate historic assets and newly commissioned, contemporary artworks into the buildings.

Elanco Headquarters
Indianapolis IN (2023-ongoing)
Studio image of ”Water In Dripping, River” life size maquette by Zheng Lu. This model will be used to make a mold for the high polished, stainless steel public artwork.

As part of Elanco’s new, state-of-the-art global headquarters highlighting sustainability, community, and innovation, Art Strategies was engaged to curate and produce an outdoor artwork for their campus. We are happy to share this progress video of the sculpture being created by Beijing-based artist Zheng Lu. The monumental, stainless steel sculpture will be installed at the corner of the Elanco headquarters and the gateway to the new One Health District.

The recent wildfires in Los Angeles have profoundly impacted their art community, disrupting lives, livelihoods, and creative spaces. We want to express our support and solidarity with everyone affected during this incredibly challenging time.

Below is a list of support and resources for those affected:

LA Arts Community Fire Relief Fund is a Getty-led coalition of major arts organizations and philanthropists providing emergency relief for artists and arts workers in all disciplines who have lost residences, studios, archives, artworks, or livelihoods or have otherwise been impacted by the devastating Los Angeles fires. The Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Emergency Grant program is intended to provide interim financial assistance to qualified painters, printmakers, and sculptors whose needs are the result of an unforeseen, catastrophic incident, and who lack the resources to meet that situation. Learn more

CERF+ Craft Emergency Relief Fund is open to craft artists ages 18 and up, this emergency relief fund provides support for those who have experienced a “substantially disruptive emergency or disaster” and welcomes those affected by the Los Angeles fires to apply. Learn more

Rauschenberg Emergency Medical Grants for Artists provides need-based grants to artists who have experienced unexpected mental health, medical, or dental emergencies. Learn more

Artists’ Fellowship, Inc. provides financial assistance to visual artists and their families experiencing an unexpected emergency situation, natural disaster, disability, bereavement, or extreme hardship. Learn more

Foundation for Contemporary Arts emergency grants are available for visual and performing artists who have sudden and unanticipated opportunities to exhibit or present with insufficient time to seek other sources of funding. Learn more
