While the sculpture was installed in 2025, we were delighted to receive new photography by Hadley Fruits capturing the sculpture as the surrounding landscape has matured. We wanted to share!

As part of Elanco’s new, state-of-the-art global headquarters, which highlights sustainability, community, and innovation, Art Strategies curated and produced an outdoor artwork for their campus as part of the public art for neighborhoods program. We love seeing the sculpture embedded in the growing landscape at the corner of the Elanco headquarters and the gateway to the new One Health District.

The John Seigenthaler Center was created by and named after a Vanderbilt professor and journalist whose vision was to promote appreciation for and understanding of the values that are vital to a democratic society.

The building was recently renovated and will continue to serve to advance free and open dialogue through diverse programming, thoughtful research, and engaging events in the newly renovated classrooms, meeting spaces, and auditorium. It is also the new home of the Vanderbilt Board of Trust offices.

As with Kirkland Hall at Vanderbilt, Art Strategies hung contemporary art alongside Vanderbilt’s historic collection. We curated an art program that reflects Vanderbilt’s vision and values, celebrates the Board of Trust’s mission, and honors the legacy of John Seigenthaler.

Over 18 months, Art Strategies curated and installed an art program in Rowling Hall, home to the professional MBA program for the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. We worked closely with a small, dynamic curatorial committee under the leadership of Lillian Mills, the school's first female Dean in its 100-year history. With a generous gift from Carolyn and Preston (UT '62) Butcher, we installed 71 artworks by 23 local, national, and internationally recognized artists in public spaces and study rooms throughout the building.

Anchoring the collection is a monumental, site-responsive installation commissioned for the five-story atrium. The cloud-like form by artist Jacob Hashimoto was the final piece to be installed in January 2026. The artwork is designed to be viewed from all sides, with each perspective offering a unique experience of the 47-foot sculpture made from over 5,000 paper kites. The piece interacts with all the artworks hanging in the building's public spaces by some of the finest artists of the 20th Century, like Ellsworth Kelly, Sol LeWitt, Julian Opie, and Robert Rauschenberg (b. Port Arthur, TX), as well as important artists working today, including Odili Donald Odita and Mickalene Thomas. We also brought in art by some of Austin's best and brightest talent to round out the collection.
